Moss Wall Art with Wood – Walnut Forest Landscape

Natural Composition of Moss Wall Art with Wood

The Moss Wall Art with Wood combines preserved forest greenery with a solid, live-edge walnut slab. Anchored horizontally across the composition, the walnut section reveals detailed growth rings, natural fissures, and deep brown heartwood tones. Surrounding the timber, dense clusters of Ball Moss (cushion moss) create raised topography, while Flat Moss (sheet moss) and Reindeer Moss (Iceland moss) fill the lower elevations to form a realistic landscape contour.

Preserved botanical elements accent the moss base to simulate forest vegetation. Deep black-green fern fronds arch outward from the top perimeter, complemented by trailing foliage, preserved eucalyptus leaves, and russet-toned plant accents. Natural wood branches twist across the moss bed, creating authentic dimensional contrast. Every component undergoes a non-toxic preservation treatment that replaces natural sap with a biodegradable glycerin solution, locking in flexibility, texture, and natural color without requiring water or soil.

Technical Specifications and Dimensions

This botanical installation is mounted in a solid timber frame engineered for flush wall hanging in horizontal or vertical orientations. The composition functions effectively in private residences, reception areas, conference rooms, and commercial hospitality settings.

Acoustic Value and Placement Guidelines

Dense preserved moss assemblies act as functional acoustic dampeners in reverberant interior spaces. The open cellular structure of Ball Moss and Reindeer Moss absorbs sound waves, significantly attenuating flutter echoes and ambient noise in rooms with polished concrete, large glass panes, or hardwood flooring. This acoustic performance makes the artwork practical for open-plan offices, boardrooms, dining rooms, and high-ceiling corridors.

Because the organic materials are completely preserved, this piece requires no irrigation systems, misting, soil amendments, or specialized grow lighting. It remains static in form and hue without shedding. For longevity, install the artwork indoors away from prolonged direct sun exposure and intense heating vents, maintaining ambient indoor humidity between 40% and 70%.
