Handcrafted Round Wall Clock with Reindeer Moss

This round wall clock with reindeer moss pairs organic texture with functional interior timekeeping. The circular dial features dense, preserved reindeer moss (Iceland Moss) surrounded by a solid frame with an overall depth of 6 cm (2.4″). Clean cutouts form the numerals 12, 3, 6, and 9, alongside circular hour markers. Two matte black hands track hours and minutes, accompanied by a slim red sweep second hand that provides clear contrast across the green lichen backdrop.

Every moss cluster is treated with a non-toxic preservation formula using vegetable glycerin and mineral salts. This treatment suspends biological aging permanently. The foliage retains its structural flexibility, tactile softness, and acoustic dampening qualities without absorbing dust. No irrigation, soil, misting, or sunlight exposure is ever needed. It stays fresh in interior settings year after year.

Precision Silent Mechanism and Materials

A continuous-sweep quartz mechanism powers the hands without producing an audible tick. This eliminates background noise in bedrooms, study libraries, treatment rooms, and executive work suites. Operating the unit requires one standard AA 1.5V battery inserted directly into the rear housing.

The structural housing uses rigid moisture-resistant engineered wood and natural timber finishes. Solid framing maintains round dimensional stability across all sizing tiers, from compact personal accents to large architectural focal points.

Mounting, Care, and Logistics

Mounting this moss art clock takes minutes. A recessed hanging bracket on the back anchors securely to wall screws, drywall anchors, or standard masonry fixings. The balanced weight distribution keeps the dial seated flush against the wall.

Because preserved moss is anti-static, airborne dust does not cling to the surface. Occasional gentle dusting with a soft brush or compressed air canister on a low setting is sufficient to keep the surface clean.
