Provence Moss Wall Art

Dimensional Greenery with Provence Moss Wall Art

Provence Moss Wall Art introduces three-dimensional botanical texture to residential and commercial interiors without requiring irrigation, specialized lighting, or soil substrates. Preserved Provence moss, commonly designated as mood moss or Siberian moss, features an elongated, tufted fiber structure that bridges the physical profile between low-profile flat moss (sheet moss) and rounded ball moss (cushion moss or pole moss). Each cluster develops organic hillocks that rise distinctly from the mounting plane, casting micro-shadows that shift with directional ambient lighting.

The preservation treatment replaces cellular moisture with a non-toxic vegetable glycerin solution. This eco-friendly process permanently suspends biological decay while maintaining cellular suppleness. As a result, the foliage retains its natural softness, volume, and deep forest-green pigmentation without periodic misting or plant food.

Acoustic Attenuation and Technical Specifications

Hard surfaces such as glass, poured concrete, and hardwood flooring frequently induce excessive sound reverberation. The porous, high-pile growth form of Siberian moss functions as a passive sound absorption layer. Incident sound waves entering the uneven canopy are scattered and dissipated across mid-to-high frequency bands, reducing flutter echoes in conference rooms, residential corridors, and dining spaces.

Solid Wood Framing and Precision Sizing

Every moss composition is constructed by hand onto structural backing boards designed to prevent warping. Surrounding frames are precision-milled from solid ash or oak timber and fitted with pre-installed heavy-duty sawtooth brackets. These mounting points allow both horizontal and vertical hanging configurations to accommodate varied architectural layouts.

• Modular sizing: Standard dimensions span from compact 11.8″ × 11.8″ (30 × 30 cm) square formats up to extensive 39.3″ × 78.7″ (100 × 200 cm) accent panels.
• Antistatic properties: The glycerin stabilization prevents static buildup, repelling airborne lint and household dust particles over long periods.
• Weight distribution: Rigid wood casing protects moss edges and supports flush perimeter alignment against drywall or paneling.

Preservation Care and Placement Guidelines

Preserved botanicals remain stable for 5 to 10 years when positioned in controlled indoor environments. Never spray water, apply fertilizers, or wipe the moss with wet cloths. Direct water contact dissolves the glycerin binding agent and bleaches organic pigments out of the vegetative fibers.

Install panels away from continuous direct sunlight, which can fade chlorophyll over time. Maintain clearance from forced-air heating ducts, radiators, and fireplaces to avoid desiccating the moss below 30% ambient humidity. If brief heating cycles cause the fibers to stiffen, normal suppleness returns automatically once relative room humidity stabilizes.
