Ball Moss Wall Art 3-Piece Set

Preserved Ball Moss Wall Art 3-Piece Set Specifications

The ball moss wall art 3-piece set delivers three dimensional botanical texture across three matching square panels. Handcrafted using preserved ball moss (cushion moss or pole moss), each panel features dense, convex mounds of genuine moss that project outward from the backing. The moss undergoes a preservation treatment using natural glycerin and food-grade mineral dyes, halting biological growth while retaining the soft texture and deep green tones of live moss.

Each set consists of three individual frames constructed from solid wood, available in Natural Wood, Wooden Black, Wooden Dark Brown, and Wooden White finishes. Because each moss mound displays natural variations in curvature, diameter, and topography, no two panels share an identical surface profile. The three-piece configuration provides layout flexibility, allowing installation in linear rows, stepped cascades, or separate placements within the same space.

Acoustic Performance and Maintenance-Free Longevity

Beyond decorative value, ball moss functions as a passive acoustic absorber. The multicellular structure and convex surface geometry scatter and absorb sound waves across medium and high speech frequencies, dampening room reverberation and echo. This makes the panels practical for home offices, conference rooms, dining areas, and open-plan living spaces where hard surfaces cause sound reflections.

Preserved moss requires zero maintenance. The stabilization process locks the moss in stasis, meaning it needs no soil, no misting, no irrigation, and no sunlight. In fact, panels thrive in windowless interior rooms, hallways, and lower levels where living plants fail. To preserve color saturation and suppleness over its 7 to 10 year lifespan, keep the art away from continuous direct sunlight and maintain indoor relative humidity between 40% and 70%.

Technical Specifications and Dimensional Options

• Zero Watering: Never spray or water the moss; moisture damages preserved cell walls.
• Light Resistance: Does not require ultraviolet exposure; keep clear of high-intensity sunbeams.
• Mounting Hardware: Integrated heavy-duty hangers mounted to the rear frame profile.
• Shipping Guarantee: Free shipping within 10–30 business days.

Mounting and Interior Placement Guidelines

Each square frame arrives ready for wall installation with pre-installed mounting brackets. The panels can be spaced closely together with 1 to 2 inches of separation for a contiguous triptych appearance, or separated across wider wall spans. Secure wall anchors matching your drywall, masonry, or wood studs ensure flush wall contact and structural stability.

Avoid placing panels directly adjacent to forced-air HVAC vents, radiators, or dehumidifiers, as continuous dry air drafts can stiffen preserved moss fibers over time. Dust accumulation can be managed once or twice per year using a standard cool-air hair dryer on its lowest airflow setting.
