Geometric Design and Botanical Structure

The Hexagon Moss Wall Art with Ball Moss integrates preserved bryophytes into a six-sided timber structure. Each piece uses preserved ball moss (cushion moss or pole moss), selected for its dense, dome-shaped clusters and rich forest green tones. These three-dimensional moss cushions create an organic topography across the flat mounting surface, providing tactile contrast against the straight lines of the geometric frame.

Natural variations in moss volume and growth habit produce distinct contours on every panel. The preserved foliage undergoes a non-toxic preservation treatment that replaces plant sap with an eco-friendly vegetable glycerin and mineral salt solution. This biological preservation locks in the cellular structure, flexibility, and natural color of the moss without requiring water, soil, or sunlight exposure.

Technical Specifications and Frame Configurations

The hexagonal casing is manufactured from solid wood, engineered to sit flush against interior walls. Built-in mounting brackets on the reverse side support secure installation on drywall, masonry, and wood paneling using standard wall anchors.

Acoustic Attenuation and Indoor Maintenance

Preserved ball moss features porous cellular structures that assist in breaking up sound waves in interior spaces. When placed along parallel reflective surfaces, these three-dimensional moss domes diffuse sound reflections and reduce reverberation times in conference rooms, reception areas, dining halls, and living spaces.

To preserve foliage elasticity and color over its 7 to 10 year lifespan, display the art strictly indoors. Maintain an ambient indoor relative humidity between 40% and 70%. Avoid direct exposure to prolonged sunlight, radiators, air conditioners, or direct forced-air vents. Cleaning requires only occasional light dusting with a compressed air can or soft feather duster on low pressure.
