Handcrafted Wave Terrarium Featuring Preserved Reindeer Moss

The Mosarium Green Wave integrates preserved reindeer moss (Iceland Moss) and smooth tumbled quartz pebbles inside an architectural glass planter. Featuring genuine moss in glass with white stones, this low-profile botanical arrangement brings natural plant texture to interior spaces without requiring soil, drainage holes, or sunlight. A curved internal partition creates an undulating wave line that separates the bright mineral base from the dense foliage above.

Each container is assembled by hand using clear float glass panes joined with black metal seams. The biological structure of the reindeer moss is stabilized through a non-toxic mineral salt and glycerin solution. This preservation method replaces the plant sap, keeping the moss soft and pliable for years. It will not wilt, shed spores, or attract household pests. No irrigation is needed.

Technical Specifications and Available Dimensions

All Green Wave models maintain a uniform height of 4 inches (10 cm), making them suitable as low-profile centerpieces that do not obstruct eye contact across dining tables or conference desks. Lengths range from compact 11.8-inch desktop units up to 39.3-inch statement installations.

Assembly and Care Guidelines

To prevent breakage and ensure safe transit, glass planters, washed white pebbles, and preserved moss tufts are packed individually in protective cushioning. Assembly takes less than ten minutes. Layer the white stones evenly along the base to match the lower wave guide, then set the preserved reindeer moss mounds securely along the upper contour. You control the final density.

Preserved vegetation behaves differently than living indoor houseplants. Follow these environmental parameters to maximize product longevity:

Zero watering: Do not spray, mist, or pour water into the glass container, as moisture dissolves the preservation salts.
Indirect lighting: Keep away from intense direct sunlight to prevent premature pigment fading.
Indoor humidity: Maintain standard room humidity between 40% and 65% to keep the moss soft to the touch.
Heat sources: Place at least 3 feet (0.9 m) away from active radiators, air conditioners, and forced-air vents.
Complimentary delivery: Orders include free shipping within 10–30 business days.

Interior Placement and Display Options

The elongated geometry of this glass terrarium suits narrow architectural surfaces. Compact models fit windowsills, bathroom vanities, and floating wall shelves. Longer variations anchor credenzas, reception desks, and rectangular dining tables without dominating table settings.

Natural acoustic absorption is a functional characteristic of dense reindeer moss. In commercial lobbies, private offices, and open floor plans, multiple linear glass arrangements dampen harsh room reverberation while adding organic greenery to stone or wood surfaces.
