Handcrafted Geometric Design and Botanical Composition

The hexagon clock with moss and plants combines functional timekeeping with preserved plant wall art mounted within a solid timber frame. The dial interior is composed of a dense base layer of Flat Moss (Sheet Moss), contoured by raised mounds of Ball Moss (Cushion Moss or Pole Moss) and accent clusters of rose-toned Reindeer Moss (Iceland Moss) arranged along the lower and lateral inner edges.

Preserved fern fronds are integrated into the botanical arrangement, extending outward across the dial face to introduce layered directional texture. The hexagonal frame is constructed with mitered joints and a smooth sanded profile, exposing the natural grain and growth rings of the timber. Because real wood possesses inherent variations in grain density and tone, every clock frame exhibits subtle textural differences.

Silent Quartz Movement and Functional Specifications

Timekeeping is managed by an integrated silent sweep quartz mechanism embedded in the rear panel. The movement operates without audible ticking sounds, making the timepiece suitable for quiet workspaces, study areas, and residential rooms. The mechanism operates on a single 1.5V AA battery housed within the recessed rear movement compartment.

The dial features black hour and minute hands detailed with pale green interior strips, accompanied by a slim red second hand. The absence of traditional numerals keeps the botanical surface unobstructed while the contrasting hand colors provide clear legibility against the multi-toned moss background across distances.

Preservation Properties and Installation

All botanical elements undergo an eco-friendly stabilization treatment where plant sap is replaced with a biodegradable glycerin solution. This treatment halts biological aging and eliminates the requirement for soil, sunlight, watering, or pruning. The preserved plants remain soft, pliable, and structurally stable under standard indoor environmental conditions.

For long-term preservation, install the clock indoors away from direct sunlight, air conditioning drafts, and active heating sources. An ambient room humidity level between 40% and 70% keeps the moss supple without any manual intervention. An integrated rear hanging bracket allows secure mounting on drywall, wood, or masonry.

  • Zero Maintenance: Requires no irrigation, misting, or plant food.
  • Acoustic Properties: Porous plant textures naturally dampen high-frequency sound reflections.
  • Ready to Hang: Features pre-installed rear hardware for flush wall attachment.
  • Delivery Window: Free shipping within 10–30 business days on all orders.
