Hexagon Moss Wall Clock with Ball Moss

Hexagon Moss Wall Clock with Ball Moss Specifications and Craftsmanship

The Hexagon Moss Wall Clock with Ball Moss combines precise timekeeping with three-dimensional preserved Ball Moss (Cushion Moss or Pole Moss). Each timepiece features individually placed moss mounds set within a geometric timber profile. Because the preservation bath replaces natural plant fluids with a biodegradable glycerin compound, the foliage remains pliable indefinitely without water, soil, or sunlight.

A continuous-sweep quartz movement powers the dial mechanism quietly. Operating without audible ticking gears, the clock maintains a peaceful sound profile in recording studios, private offices, and bedrooms. The aluminum hour, minute, and red second hands sweep smoothly over the textured moss surface, held clear of the vegetation by an elevated central brass arbor.

Preserved Botanical Properties and Acoustic Performance

Beyond visual timekeeping, the natural curvature of preserved Ball Moss (Cushion Moss or Pole Moss) functions as a passive sound-dampening surface. The multi-layered cellular structure disperses airborne sound reflections, which helps to attenuate flutter echoes in rooms with concrete, tile, or hardwood flooring. The preserved moss also naturally resists dust accumulation due to anti-static preservation methods.

Position the clock in indoor areas where relative humidity ranges between 40% and 70%. Exposure to continuous direct sunlight or proximity to forced-air heating ducts will dry out the botanical fibers. Routine maintenance requires only an occasional pass with a dry microfiber duster or low-pressure cool air spray every several months.
