Round Moss and Flower Wall Art

Preserved Botanical Elements and Dimensional Structure

The Round Moss and Flower Wall Art combines preserved Ball Moss (Cushion Moss or Pole Moss) and Flat Moss (Sheet Moss) fixed to an engineered moisture-resistant base. Real botanical flowers—specifically white strawflowers, pink blossoms, cornflower-blue buds, and dark wine-red petals—are arranged in an organic ring pattern across the green foliage. The arrangement forms a natural circle around a central field of flat moss.

Surface depth varies substantially across the piece. The low-profile sheet moss base sits close to the backing, while the rounded ball moss clumps project outward up to 2 inches (5 cm) from the frame. This uneven topography introduces tactile relief and organic shadow lines across the wall surface. Because the botanical materials undergo a preservation treatment using vegetable glycerin and mineral salts, the stems, petals, and moss fibers retain their softness without requiring watering, misting, or soil nutrients.

Frame Construction and Dimensional Specifications

A slender circular wood frame encloses the arrangement, measuring 4.5 mm (0.18 in) across its outer edge. The casing keeps the plant matter secured while maintaining a clean boundary against the surrounding wall paint. Four frame finishes provide styling compatibility across different room designs, ranging from pale unfinished birch tones to saturated black lacquer.

The installation ships ready to hang with attached metal mounting brackets on the reverse side. Review the standard dimensions and physical parameters below:

Acoustic Function and Care Requirements

Dense preserved moss layers contribute to interior acoustic comfort by dampening ambient echoes. The natural cell matrix of the lichen and moss fibers scatters incoming sound waves, absorbing flutter echo in spaces with hard tile, glass, or polished hardwood surfaces. This makes the panel functional for private offices, dining areas, and conference rooms where speech clarity matters.

Preserved plant compositions require straightforward handling and zero traditional gardening tasks:

• No irrigation: Do not spray water or apply moisture onto the moss, as liquid will dissolve the preservation glycerin.
• Lighting: Keep the panel away from intense direct sun and halogen bulbs to prevent color degradation.
• Indoor humidity: Maintain ambient relative humidity levels between 40% and 70% to keep the moss supple.
• Cleaning: Dust occasionally using a soft dry brush or a canister of compressed air held at least 12 inches (30 cm) away.
• Delivery handling: If the ball moss shows minor compression after unboxing, brush the fibers gently against the grain to restore fullness.

With stable indoor conditions, the preserved moss retains its tactile texture for 7 to 10 years, while the preserved flowers maintain their visual appearance for 3 to 5 years.
